Rhino 5 for Mac & Rhino 6 for Windows

To be an effective designer today, you need tools to quickly develop your designs and accurately communicate them to everyone in product research, development, education, marketing, manufacturing or construction chain.
Start with a sketch, drawing, physical model, scan data, or only an idea – Rhino provides the tools to accurately model and document your designs ready for rendering, animation, drafting, engineering, analysis, and manufacturing or construction.
Rhino can create, edit, analyze, document, render, animate, and translate NURBS* curves, surfaces, and solids, point clouds, and polygon meshes. There are no limits on complexity, degree, or size beyond those of your hardware.

Flamingo nXt

Flamingo nXt was developed for designers. You don’t need to be a computer graphics professional to quickly present your Rhino model in the best light.
In Rhino, just click Render to try the nXt defaults, or spend a few minutes to select a lighting scenario and add some materials before you click Render. It is very easy to use.
With nXt you don’t need to be a professional renderer to get realistic results quickly. You provide materials and lighting and press the Render button. nXt provides the simulation.

Bongo

Animation for designers: simple, integrated animation for Rhino 5. Just drag and drop to create animations in Rhino, so you won’t lose valuable time changing programs. You get your preview inside Rhino, in real time, in any shading mode. You can render to video using any compatible renderer, like Flamingo nXt or Brazil.
A zoomable timeline and a new curve editor give you great control over your animations. You can control many parameters with the state-of-the-art keyframe editor. You can create architectural animations, or create mechanical systems animations with the IK engine. Lots of practical functionality

Penguin

Penguin, a non-photorealistic render engine brings freehand sketching, watercolor painting, cartoon-like rendering and technical illustration to Rhino.
More precise: Penguin is a conceptual, sketch and cartoon, non-photometric scan line renderer. With Penguin you can create stylized images of your models with an artistic look for enhanced graphic and visual appeal.
Penguin 2.0 runs inside Rhino and has the same hardware requirements. Rhino with Penguin runs on ordinary Windows desktop and laptop computers. Penguin works with Rhino 4.0 and 5.0, both 32 and 64 bits.

Brazil

Top artists and designers from every type of industry rely on the Brazil render engine for their most demanding work. Whether showing off the latest designs for a new mobile phone, doing site-accurate visualizations for a new resort-hotel, or generating images of your newest jewelry designs, Brazil can help you create stellar imagery quickly and easily.
Brazil is a fantastic rendering plugin, and even more than that. Brazil is like Flamingo nXt tightly integrated with Rhino, and a bit more complicated. It takes a bit more time to get to the depth of settings. Eventually the learning curve isn’t too steep, and results quite satisfying.

Grasshopper

For designers who are exploring new shapes using generative algorithms, Grasshopper® is the right tool. It is a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3D modeling tools. Unlike RhinoScript, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers to build form generators from the simple to the awe-inspiring. Programs are created by dragging components onto a canvas. The outputs to these components are then connected to the inputs of subsequent components. Grasshopper is now an integrated part of Rhino 6. Rhino 5 users can still download the former version of Grasshopper.
